What is a CSA?

CSA or Community Supported Agriculture is a system in which consumers (aka shareholders or members) form a direct partnership with the farm. As a CSA member, you invest in the farm upfront, providing essential capital that fuels the farm's success. Your prepayment is the lifeblood of the farm, supporting everything from seeds to equipment and skilled labor.
In return for prepayment, members receive a regular share of the produce. The contents of the share vary with the seasons, giving members access to a wide array of freshly grown produce.
CSA is a commitment to sustainability. Your support for local agriculture helps reduce your carbon footprint, minimizes waste, and champions eco-friendly farming practices. Your choice makes a positive impact on the environment, the farm’s well-being and yours!

How Does It Work?

While CSAs have so many benefits, they are not for everyone.
Winter CSA consists of 10 bi-weekly drops, that are boxed and contain an assortment of winter vegetables.  This may include items such as potatoes, onions, leeks, garlic, parsnips, sunchokes, radishes, beets, celery root, and more. We also purchase organic vegetables from some nearby farms with greenhouses to round out the selection. These are items such as baby spinach, arugula, sprouts, and lettuce.
We offer a traditional style CSA, so expect some unexpected! You wont' get to choose what's in your box, but that's part of the fun. A few days before pickup, you'll receive an email listing the contents of your box, so that you can plan your menu ahead of time.
