Norwich Meadows Farm Receives Slow Food Snail of Approval

We’re honored to share that Slow Food NYC has awarded us the Snail of Approval Award!

This is a meaningful recognition of the way we approach growing, harvesting, and bringing produce to market, restaurants and our CSAs.

The Snail of Approval recognizes farms and food businesses working toward a system built on “good, clean, and fair” food. It reflects a set of commitments that go beyond the product itself—how seed is sourced, the environmental impact of how it’s grown, the connection to local culture and community, and the values that guide how a business operates day to day.

For us, that means working within a local, seasonal system; growing for flavor and structure; maintaining direct relationships with the kitchens and customers we supply; and approaching the farm as part of a broader community, not a standalone operation.

We’re looking forward to working more closely with Slow Food NYC and other Snail of Approval awardees—many of whom we already work with. Conversations around collaborations and shared projects are already underway.
