Lesya Peppers of called  “the sweetest pepper in the world.” This remarkable Ukrainian variety has deep-red skin, a distinctive pointed heart shape, and exceptionally thick, juicy walls.

Lesya’s substantial flesh and compact shape make it one of the best sweet peppers for stuffing. The peppers hold up beautifully in the oven while becoming tender, rich, and intensely sweet.

These are fresh peppers for cooking and eating. We do not sell seeds or plants. They are sold fresh—not dried, pickled, or preserved.

What Are Lesya Peppers?

Lesya is a Ukrainian sweet pepper celebrated for its extraordinary sweetness and unusually thick flesh. The heart-shaped peppers ripen to a glossy, deep red and contain no heat.

Often promoted as the sweetest pepper in the world, Lesya has a concentrated, fruity flavor with very little bitterness. Its remarkably thick walls provide more crisp, juicy flesh in every pepper than most traditional sweet peppers or bells.

Lesya Peppers are intensely sweet, rich, and fruity. Their thick flesh is crisp and exceptionally juicy when raw, becoming tender, deeply flavored, and caramelized when roasted.

An Exceptional Pepper for Stuffing

Lesya’s thick walls, substantial flesh, and naturally cupped shape make it particularly well suited to stuffing. The peppers remain sturdy during cooking and have enough flavor and sweetness to stand alongside rich fillings.

Stuff them with rice, grains, cheese, vegetables, sausage, lamb, or ground beef, then bake until the peppers are tender and lightly caramelized.

How to Use Lesya Peppers
