Adirondack Red Potatoes
Available in 3 lb and 5 lb Boxes · Harvested to Order · Shipped Nationwide
Adirondack Red Potatoes are a striking Cornell-bred variety with purplish-red skin and rosy pink-to-red flesh. Developed for New York growing conditions and released in 2004, they combine excellent potato flavor with a smooth, moist texture.
They are highly versatile in the kitchen and particularly good roasted, pan-fried, steamed, mashed, or used in colorful potato salads.
What Do Adirondack Red Potatoes Taste Like?
Adirondack Red Potatoes have a rich, earthy flavor and a smooth, moist interior. They hold their shape well enough for salads and pan-frying while remaining creamy enough for mashing.
How Do You Use Them?
Roast them with olive oil and herbs, pan-fry them until crisp, steam them, or make naturally rosy mashed potatoes. Roasting, frying, steaming, and microwaving preserve their color best; some of the red color may fade into the cooking water when boiled.
